What Forgiveness Really Means
Forgiveness
Brings Freedom

When you choose forgiveness,
you open the door to healing,
peace, and a brighter tomorrow.

Many think forgiving someone means you have to forget what they did, but that's a common misconception. True forgiveness is not about denying the pain or holding it against them — it's about letting go of the right to get even and choosing not to allow bitterness to control your heart. When you forgive, you are not excusing what happened, you are releasing it to God and allowing Him to Heal you.
“Behold, it was for my peace that I had intense bitterness; but You have loved
back my life from the pit of corruption and nothingness, for You have cast all
my sins behind Your back” Isaiah 38:17
In other words, God doesn’t keep replaying our sins in His mind. Instead, our sins have been Completely and Wholeheartedly Forgiven, and He Chooses not to hold them against us.
“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless
deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews 8:12
Jesus accomplished this when He took upon Himself all our sins on The Cross at Calvary. He willingly received the complete, full punishment for every sin — past, present, and future. As a result, all our sins are now hidden behind God's back, where He Will never see them again.
